• Welcome to PHS Athletic Training

Here at PHS we are excited to have a great student sports medicine program. Students have the chance to work closely with the different sports teams which helps increase their involvement with the school. Student Athletic Trainers work with all sports to help hydrate and treat athletes.

    What is athletic training?

Athletic Trainers are health care professionals who work with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.

Students who want to become an athletic trainer after high school must earn a degree from an athletic training curriculum program. Programs include formal instruction in areas such as injury/illness prevention, first aid and emergency care, assessment of injury/illness, human anatomy and physiology, therapeutic modalities, and nutrition.

Athletic Forms, Policies and Resources

  • The NCISD Parent Information Manual gives parents/guardians an overview of the guidelines and practices of the NCISD Athletic Department. Each NCISD athlete needs acknowledgment forms on file for the following local manuals/information. Completed acknowledgment/consent forms must be returned to your son/daughter's campus athletic trainer.  Acknowledgment/consent forms can be found at the end of the Parent Information Manual.
