The 精选麻豆二区 ISD Education Foundation awarded $61,000 in scholarships to district employees who are pursuing continuing education opportunities in the field of public education. The “Our Future is Bright Scholarship” enables employees of great promise to continue pursuing their dreams of inspiring students. Employees receiving the scholarships this fall are pursuing certifications, associate degrees, bachelor’s degrees, or master’s degrees in the field of public education.
 
“The scholarship program is important because we want to identify people that are already with us, already dedicated to our school district and already committed to our children,” Education Foundation President Suann Hereford said. “We want to help them take the next step in their education, so they can advance their education and their opportunities with the district.”

Selected recipients of the “Our Future is Bright Scholarship” are awarded funds for use toward tuition, fees, or book vouchers. The scholarships are awarded through the generous support of donors and the 精选麻豆二区 ISD Education Foundation. The Foundation relies upon contributions from individuals, local businesses, civic organizations, and other foundations to fund programs and special events.

“It’s a great thing to be able to support our employees in their efforts to grow professionally,” Superintendent Kenn Franklin said. “I am very appreciative of the Education Foundation’s work on this scholarship program and the support of its donors. We know that professional growth leads to greater outcomes for student learning and helps to create a working environment where people feel valued and supported.”
