Counselor for students in alpha A-Go

Ms. Amber Smith

Hello! I am grateful to be serving students with last names A-Go and as the Lead Counselor at West Fork High School. This is my 15th year in education, and my entire career has been with 精选麻豆二区 ISD. I was born and raised in our great district and am a graduate of 精选麻豆二区 High School. I feel so blessed to be able to work for the district that significantly contributed to who I am today. My husband and I have two children, Ramsey and Piper, who also attend 精选麻豆二区 ISD schools. I am greatly committed to the success of students and am here to advocate for and help them achieve their goals. I am proud to be an Original Gator and look forward to serving the students, parents, staff, and community of West Fork High School. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know. I am here to help! Go Gators!

Counselor for students Gr-Pa

Ms. Adrienne Randle

Hi Gators, my name is Adrienne Randle and I am excited to join the West Fork counseling team! This will be my 13th year in education but my first year in 精选麻豆二区 ISD.

A little about me, I grew up in Round Rock, TX and graduated from UNT in 2009 with my bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies.  I spent my first 7 years teaching and coaching in the DFW area. I met my husband of 7 years and relocated to Denver then ultimately to the Houston area in 2018.  We have three children ages 5, 4 and 2 and they keep us plenty busy! I am a huge fan of live music, attending family events around the Houston area as well as cheering on the Cowboys and Astros!

After spending 12 years in the classroom and reflecting back, I found that it was the relationships I built with my students that kept me coming back year after year. So, in the midst of our crazy life I enrolled in graduate school at Texas A&M and received my Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology in order to pursue my counseling career.

My goal is to help each student reach their full academic, social and emotional potential.  Each student is unique with their own strengths and struggles and will be provided a road map for the necessary steps to achieve their goals.  I am excited to be here and look forward to working with the students and their families in the 2023-2024 school year!  Go Gators!

Counselor for students in Alpha Pe-Z

Ms. Christie Fernandez

My name is Christie Fernandez and this is my first year as the school counselor at West Fork High School. I am a National Certified Counselor and am licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners as a Licensed Professional Counselor.  I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, specializing in early childhood education, from Stephen F. Austin State University.  I earned a Masters of Education in School Counseling and Licensed Professional Counseling from Sam Houston State University.

My professional background includes eleven years of teaching at the elementary level, eight years as an elementary school counselor, and one year as a high school counselor.  I have worked as a Clinical Therapist in the psychiatric hospital setting and in private practice for eleven years.

What I love most about the secondary high school level is student’s ability to learn more about themselves. This is a great time for students to discover their interests and plan for the future. I am excited to meet with students individually, in small groups, and in classrooms. As a School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, career, and social/emotional development of all students. It is important to me that I work closely as a team with parents/guardians, teachers, administration, and staff to ensure your student is receiving all the support they need to guide them through these high school years. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. I look forward to working with you all and getting to know your students throughout the school year
